Job Responsibilities

Job Summary : Achieve superior self-manufacturing products through high quality, low-cost foods while continuing commitment to the growth, development, and training of our people and continually meeting our commitment to achieve superior service levels.

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities :

  • Development mode : Requires direct supervision, administers practices, policies; assigned to a team; focuses on day-to-day issues; mentored by Ops Ldr
  • Management :
  • Majority of the time spent using independent judgment making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions (e.g., product- / dept-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engage in resolving partner-related matters)
  • Provides coaching, training, and development
  • Administers certification tests
  • Seeks out recommendation from appropriate leader on handling critical / complex situations
  • Handles day-to-day tactical issues independently with little or no supervision
  • Ensures compliance with internal practices and external policies, procedures, guidelines, and governance
  • Communicates tactical plans and initiatives to effectively gain partner cooperation
  • Provides input on staffing levels and participates in sourcing and interviewing candidates
  • Identifies & develops team coordinators
  • Processes each work injury
  • Administers performance appraisals
  • Executes production schedule to ensure on-time delivery in an efficient & effective manner
  • Provides detailed shift summaries to other leaders
  • Implements plans; prepares / communicates plans to achieve team goals to leader(s)
  • Monitors / adjusts labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs
  • Regularly reviews / communicates results with team
  • Actively participates in the Hoshin objectives
  • Ensures compliance with work instructions, standards, and product specifications

Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or 1-3 years of related experience
  • High Performance Work Team experience (preferred)
  • Successful completion of company-sponsored training and development classes
  • Participation in Leadership training and BET
  • Preferred Key Competencies :

  • Working knowledge related to compliance requirements of industry, EEOC, and employment laws
  • Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong skills in operating internal / external software, systems
  • Analytical skills
  • Influencing skills (people and process)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects / tasks; attention to detail
  • Physical and Other Requirements :

  • Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
  • Work extended hours and rotating schedules
  • Ambient temperatures range from -20F to 100+F; most often they are 65-85F
