SUMMARY
The Composites Manufacturing Engineer III will be required to formulate conceptual designs of challenging, complex aerospace products to meet all customer system requirements. Responsibilities to include but are not limited to : determining complex bill of materials, sequence of assembly, selection of required equipment, solving production problems, analyzing current manufacturing planning processes, designing / reviewing necessary tooling, creating manufacturing document, and developing working relationships with a multi-disciplined team of people.

Hands-on oversight of the day-to-day status of assigned projects to ensure team objectives and customer requirements are met.Review customer drawings and specifications to evaluate them for producibility and economic factors relating to product design and fabrication costs and preparing solutions for co-engineering products with customers.Formulation of conceptual designs for aerospace products or systems to meet all customer specified requirementsDevelop products process fabrication / control documentationDesign / draft for required tooling to meet program production rate and quality requirements.Act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) and technical interface with customers for program status updates, program reviews, and problem / solution meetingsAssist in root cause analysis for any failure of product requirement and development of corrective actionPeer review build documentation and tooling designDevelop detailed and complex proposals in support of customer RFQs and / or RFIsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must have exceptional time management5 years of previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or composite design requiredMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance - current or active security clearance is a plusExperience with aerospace composite manufacturing methodologies – autoclave and press molding experience are a plusMid-size corporation internal processes / systems knowledgeGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading expertiseModeling / Drafting expertiseExperience on designing molds, assembly fixtures, machining fixtures, or other tooling used for composite processingReading and interpreting Engineering Specifications (Drawings, Material Specifications, Processing Specifications, etc.)Some experience in design-for-manufacturing and assembly methodology, for small programs and programs at rateKnowledge of developing composite parts and assemblies for military and / or commercial systemsMust be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities on multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)One-on-one customer support experienceAbility to work independently with some supervisionAbility to work on own initiative with minimal directionDesire to innovate and be an out of the box thinker“Hands-on” engineer mentality with a passion for design / fabrication of cutting-edge hardwareExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, root cause analysis and risk assessments with a strong attention to detailMust possess strong analytical approach to problem solving to deliver innovative solutionsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsITAR REQUIREMENTS :
