Maintenance Technician

Help maintain and repair facilities on campus as well as performing other assigned jobs including cleaning, set up and tear down of rooms, and maintain custodial closets.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, possibly longer, with flexible hours based on emergency needs, or special projects scheduled outside normal hours of operation.

Some evening hours are required.

A pre-employment drug screening and background screening are required for all candidates offered employment.

REPORTS TO :

• Director of Facilities and Maintenance QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
• Ability to work alone and execute work request repairs from a computer maintenance management software, which include reactive repairs as well as preventative repairs.
• Respond to on-the-spot radio calls for reactive maintenance or setups.
• Perform special setups based on the organization's calendar.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, department members and other staff.
• Be flexible in getting tasks done in a timely manner in respect to church events throughout the week.
• Experience in at least one building trade, with a well-rounded work ethic that allows for continual learning of other trades.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, carry and perform physical tasks as required.
• Good communication skills when working with a team.
• Experience using power tools and equipment for general maintenance repair.
• Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, light-electrical, carpentry and painting.
