A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia services for various surgical procedures, including general and thoracic surgeries. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, managing airways, and collaborating with surgical teams in high-acuity settings. CRNAs are required to maintain certifications and possess an active nursing license, with preferences for those with an existing license in Pennsylvania.

Clinical Details

Typical Day : Typical OR days will see thoracic patients. 7am staff start, 7 : 23 wheels in room, turnover 17-22 min (case dependent), days begin to pyramid down after 1, but several consistently through 7 / 11pm

All subspecialties. General, thoracic, cardiothoracic, transplant (renal), neuro, ortho, GI / GU, GYN, endo, cardiac interventional / EP, high census high acuity. OB / L&D, neuro interventional, robotics, overflow trauma (not a designated trauma center). CRNAs do lines, epidurals and spinals, if they have a history of completing them 2. CRNAs work overnight and handle airways, answer codes

Requirements

Board Certified

Active PA License (will accept candidates needing to obtain a License)

Preference given to providers who have an active license BUT will consider providers who need to obtain one especially if their interests for time commitment coincide with our needs

No local candidates (must be outside of 40 miles from the facility)

Must be available for at least 5 shifts per month.

Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPR

Minimum Years Experience (if applicable) : 1
