Job descriptionLead and direct all facets of a restaurant's business, ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day and long-term operations Assist with training, recruiting, HR and administrative duties; assist and financials / statement preparation; and assist the GM with customer service inquiries Organize, run and supervise smooth and efficient daily opening and closing shifts, ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams while fostering our Culture of Caring Respond immediately and effectively to guest and employee needs and feedback Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business in support of financial goals Partner with GM and management team to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop all BOH employees and teams as needed Perform regular and ad hoc inventories of food, beverage and restaurant supplies and track high cost items; place food, beverage and restaurant supply orders; and accept and inspect deliveries Model and promote teamwork across all teams Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and / or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and / or lift up to 50 pounds 5+ years of restaurant management experience 3+ years of GM experience in a full-service restaurant Skilled in leading and developing teams Experienced with inventory and BOH systems

Ema, located in Austin's Domain Northside neighborhood, is a Mediterranean restaurant showcasing Chef CJ Jacobson's lighter California style of cooking, highlighting local produce, unique spices and ingredients.
The team behind the award-winning Mediterranean restaurant Aba on South Congress Avenue at Music Lane is thrilled to partner with Domain NORTHSIDE to open its sister restaurant ?ma. This will be the second restaurant in Austin from Chicago-based restaurant group, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant, with an expansive outdoor space, will be located at 3120 Palm Way, Suite 170, Austin, TX 78758.
