Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A direct hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Emergency Department care in the Canyon, TX area. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical services within a dynamic hospital emergency setting, supporting critical patient care alongside a dedicated healthcare team.

Position Type : Direct Hire
Schedule : 10-hour night shifts with rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver direct pharmaceutical care to emergency department patients, ensuring safe and effective medication use
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on treatment planning
- Assist in rapid assessment and management of critically ill patients, including resuscitation and trauma scenarios
- Conduct medication reconciliation and review drug therapies, offering evidence-based remendations
- Prepare and dispense medications following hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Participate actively in emergency response situations such as stroke alerts, cardiac arrests, and sepsis protocols
- Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, potential side effects, and best practices
- Monitor for adverse drug reactions and medication errors, taking corrective actions as needed
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and emergency medicine pharmacy research
- Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents; supervise medication history pharmacy technicians
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited School of PharmacyActive Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of PharmacyRelevant certifications including BLS, ALS, and PALS within 90 days of hirePreferred experience includes pletion of PGY2 residency in emergency medicine or critical care, or PGY1 residency with emergency / critical care experience, or equivalent practical experience in ED or critical care settingsBenefits and Perks :
