A company in Nashville is looking for a Commercial Lines Agent for their Commercial Insurance line of business. This company specializes in insuring the manufactured home and investment property industries. The Account Management team is responsible for communicating between potential clients and the insurance companies. This is not a sales position. The leads that you are given will be pre-qualified and will be small business owners who are specifically looking for this type of insurance. The Commercial Lines Agent is responsible for reaching out to that client, vetting them, entering their information into an application, and then choosing the correct insurance company to work with accordingly. From there, they will make sure the client signs off on that type of policy and then work with the insurance agency to make sure they receive the correct invoice. The Commercial Lines Agent is responsible for keeping in touch with their set of clients and for adjusting their policies as needed based on changes in the properties they own. This company highly values individuals with a strong work ethic who want to grow with the company long term! Strong candidates have experience communicating with clients over the phone and understand how to operate various internal CRM systems. The average ramp up time is about 6 months which is the same amount of time candidates become eligible to receive a bonus! This is a small office of about 20 employees and the team is excited to bring on a new team member. The salary range for this position starts at $75k.

Skills and Requirements :

• 5 years of experience as Insurance Agent / Rep / Account Manager
• Experience working at Independent Insurance Agency
• Valid state insurance license (Commercial Lines)
• Strong organizational and Microsoft Office skills
• Communication Skills Must be able to communicate with clients and insurance company underwriters by email and phone communication
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Experience with habitational risk insurance is preferred.
• Familiarity with some type of management system (Vertafore AMS360 is what they use)
