Schedule : Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
Hourly Rate : $15 - $19 / hour on W2
Job Summary :
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Packaging Operator for our Cleveland facility. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates who demonstrate pride in producing high-quality products. The operator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving materials, packaging chemicals, and shipping products, all while strictly adhering to safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Precisely portion chemicals (e.g., amino acids) into containers according to SOPs and batch record instructions.
- Unload materials from delivery vehicles, inspect for defects, and label accurately.
- Perform material identification testing and print reports.
- Move and stage materials using tow motors and manual pallet jacks.
- Sample products for Quality Control (QC) testing.
- Clean and label finished goods containers.
- Perform material inspections and room clearances.
- Box, palletize, and wrap finished goods for shipping.
- Load delivery vehicles using an electric tow motor.
- Complete all necessary documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA principles.
- Perform SAP transactions as required.
- Report any deviations, discrepancies, or abnormalities to management.
- Participate in a proactive safety culture, identifying hazards and coaching coworkers on safety protocols.
- Participate in company-provided training and complete electronic training on time.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with housekeeping policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Chemical Handling Experience : Experience handling chemicals is required.Warehouse or Production Experience : Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment.Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail is a must.Team Player : Ability to work effectively within a team.Eager to Learn : Willingness to learn new tasks and procedures.Physical Abilities : Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and move more than 50 pounds with assistance.Training and Examinations : Must be willing to be trained in and wear a full-face respirator, pass a visual acuity exam, and complete annual hearing tests.Nice-to-Have Skills :
Past lead or quality control experience.Work Environment :
Work involves potential exposure to chemicals or substances requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).This position requires the use of a full-face respirator, which entails a clean-shaven face.Nails must be kept short per policy.The role requires the operation of an electric walk-behind tow motor and manual pallet jacks.Interview Process :
