Jered is seeking a Product Development Engineer with extensive experience in electrohydraulic and electromechanical maritime deck machinery. The engineer will participate in shaping sales strategies, understanding detailed designs, and addressing customer needs. The role involves working directly with clients and stakeholders on quotes and specifications, requiring strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. The individual should be capable of handling technical, quality, and business aspects of bids and leading cross-functional teams independently.

Responsibilities include :

• Producing high-quality conceptual designs
• Reviewing and tailoring legacy products for future development
• Informing customers about Jered equipment and designs
• Developing cost-effective proposals meeting customer specifications
• Providing bill of material inputs
• Interfacing with estimating, procurement, sales, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams
• Evaluating vendor bids and conducting technical meetings with stakeholders
• Completing technical proposals and ensuring compliance
• Developing relationships with shipyard and navy personnel
