Facility Setting : Maternity – Mother / Baby Unit

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : March 9, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend / Holiday : Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Unit Size : 24 beds, 2 operating rooms

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1–2

Scrubs : Hospital provided

Floating : May float to other campuses or maternity units

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2200–$2360

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Iowa RN license (Registered Nurse license required)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting, including OR experience

Proven experience with c-section and vaginal deliveries, triage, and mother / baby care

At least one completed travel nursing assignment in the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP

Ability to float between units as needed

Submission of updated resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, certifications, and references

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns

Manage patient care for c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and triage in a clinical setting

Administer and monitor drips (magnesium, insulin, pitocin) as part of patient care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes

Float to other maternity or mother / baby units as required

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR

Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
