Director Of Commissioning

The Director of Commissioning is responsible for leading, managing, growing, and executing the efforts of the Commissioning Department that presently conducts Commissioning (Cx) services to the CyrusOne Data Center portfolio. Responsibilities include :

• Work with Engineering Project Managers, customers, the design team, and construction / installation partners to review projects in the commissioning phase.
• Become a subject matter expert in the commissioning process, support ongoing improvements to processes and systems, and train others.
• Take a lead role in updating and refining the commissioning process based on new technology.
• Manage and mentor commissioning staff.
• Coordinate with project team members internal and external to facilitate a successful commissioning process on each project.
• Develop a commissioning plan per project. Maintain, update, and distribute plans as required to facilitate a successful commissioning project.
• Issue project status updates to the Client at defined regular intervals during the commissioning process.
• Schedule and chair commissioning kick-off and subsequent commissioning meetings for each commissioning project.
• Review project-specific commissioning specifications and deliver them to the project team for review and inclusion.
• Review and verification of all project commissioning procedures.
• Assist with training and growing the commissioning department.
• Assist in customer Request for Proposal commissioning requirement reviews.
• Assist in developing tools and templates for the Commissioning Department.
• Manage and monitor the closeout and turnover of the project to operations post commissioning.
