Summary :
The Orthopedic Technician assists physicians in all aspects of office care. Assists in procedure and general maintenance of equipment, supplies and exam rooms.
Formal Education Required :
a. High school diploma or equivalent.
b. Orthopedic Technologist Certification preferred.
Experience and Training Required :
a. One year orthopedic experience in lieu of Orthopedic Technologist Certification.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications :
a. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
b. Knowledge of medical terminology.
c. Basic computer skills.
d. Population Specific Competency : Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients / customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
