Deals Manager, YouTube, Global Media Partnerships
As a Deals Manager, you will discuss and manage agreements for partnerships with the media companies, studios and entertainment / sports properties across YouTube TV, Primetime Channels and YouTube Main. You will make YouTube the essential platform for viewing content from media partners by managing meaningful business and distribution. You will be responsible for sourcing, discussing and closing distribution agreements with media and entertainment companies for YouTube's subscription video businesses, as well as distributing ad-supported content across YouTube's multiple formats and platforms to fuel those partners core businesses.
Responsibilities include discussing partnerships for YouTube's AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, PPV, FAST and Pay TV services, contributing to a high-performing team that drives the success of YouTube's Global Media partnerships, communicating and collaborating effectively with a broad range of constituents, leveraging industry experience to discuss agreements in alignment with cross-functional priorities, and understanding industry trends and market insights to adjust to changing circumstances.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 10 years of experience in media industry agreement negotiation, experience working with executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management, and experience managing agreements or partnerships. Preferred qualifications include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, experience licensing content for distribution on streaming platforms, experience discussing distribution agreements for linear cable television, broadcast stations, direct-to-consumer offerings, and advertiser supported content, ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements, ability to think strategically and develop creative agreement strategies, and excellent communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fluid, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
