Account Representative, Global Strategic Accounts
This Account Representative, Global Strategic Accounts is responsible for all functional aspects of the Global Strategic Alliances account for a defined and specific North American sub-region. The role will have approximately a 50 / 50 split between inside and outside sales responsibilities. This role will drive the development and building of working relationships with all facets of the customer's organization by developing and implementing sales strategies across the functional sales organizations. The inside responsibility of this position is to support Global Strategic Alliances regions while the outside responsibilities will be targeted at a sub-region of the defined US Region.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a go-to-market sales strategy; including weekly reporting, and account plans / mapping that will be routinely delivered to sales management.
- Build strong relationships within assigned sub-region to become a trusted advisor with assigned customers.
- Identify opportunities / sales in their initial stages and manage those deals through the entire sales cycle to closing.
- Provide general inside sales support including quoting and CRM Management, as required by OEM regional and sales leadership. Provide other general inside sales support as directed.
- Achieve year-over-year sales growth through proper management of the assigned region in both inside and outside sales capacities.
- Fully understand customer's technology requirements and challenges and translate those into successful adoption of Vertiv solutions.
- Communicate company product and / or service features and benefits. Promote advantages of Vertiv to partners and end customers.
- Train customer sales teams on Vertiv products and services where applicable.
- Participate in and / or attend regional trade meetings, events, conventions or shows as required by the customer or as directed by Vertiv.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Minimum : BA or BS required (Business, Engineering, Marketing, Communications preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.2+ years sales or account management experience required.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in MS Office.Preferred : Electrical engineering degree, Data center industry experience, Experience with CRM management.Physical & Environmental Demands :
Standard office environment.
Time Travel Required : 10%
