We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract role requires a detail-oriented individual to manage financial processes and support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting principles and software systems, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and reports.

Responsibilities :

• Utilize Applied Microsoft Systems effectively to manage financial and accounting operations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and tracking incoming receivables.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure the general ledger is up-to-date.
• Reconcile accounts and assist in creating trial balances for accountant review.
• Generate detailed financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate on budget preparation, aligning financial plans with organizational objectives.
• Ensure all documentation and financial operations are ready for final accountant review.
• Proficiency in Applied Microsoft Systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including AP / AR processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in preparing budgets and financial reports.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
