MAU is hiring a Flexographic Press Operator for our client in Peabody, MA. As a Flexographic Press Operator, you will set up, operate, and maintain the flexographic printing press to produce high-quality labels and packaging products. Second Shift | 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 00 PMRequired Education and Experience :
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience1–3 years of related experience or trainingPreferred Education and Experience :
1+ years of flexographic printing press experience preferredGeneral Requirements :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devicesClose vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus requiredEssential Functions :
Read job orders and load dies into pressInstall print cylinders on shaft and in pressFill ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inksStart press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock as neededEngage print cylinders and adjust printing impressionsCut sample approval strips and inspect for printing imperfectionsMake necessary adjustments to correct register, impression, or ink issuesClean plates, print cylinders, and dies as requiredPerform daily, weekly, and monthly press maintenanceMix inks to maintain desired colors and viscosityMaintain clear and organized work areas according to housekeeping standardsPhysical Demands :
