Job Description

Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP Material Master Functional Consultant to support a high-impact client engagement in the public sector. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in manufacturing and production planning environments who bring expert-level SAP Material Master knowledge, including data conversion, configuration, and process integration.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing SAP Material Master data, ensuring seamless integration across manufacturing, purchasing, and production planning . You will also be responsible for leading the conversion from legacy systems to SAP, including configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage SAP Material Master configuration and data integration across PP, MM, and purchasing modules

Author functional specifications and enhancements based on business requirements

Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , including post-deployment support

Manage cutover activities and support the migration of material master data from legacy platforms

Create and deliver documentation and user guides for both Integrated and Stand-alone Business Processes

Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues related to material master conversion

Provide SME-level input on product classification , interchangeability , and supersession

Collaborate with stakeholders during blueprint workshops and implementation planning

Required Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on SAP Material Master experience

Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP implementations

3+ years of industry experience in manufacturing , particularly production planning

Demonstrated experience in S / 4HANA implementation projects

Experience managing material master data conversion , including tool configuration and issue resolution

Knowledge of Document Info Records and SAP document management practices

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) environments

Strong understanding of FFFC (Form, Fit, Function, and Compatibility) principles

Exposure to greenfield SAP implementations

Ability to work on-site weekly in St. Louis, MO (preferred) or Philadelphia, PA

Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required
