Base pay range

$50.00 / hr - $55.00 / hr

We are seeking a Design Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of air product components . This technical role focuses on mechanical and tooling design for high-volume manufacturing. The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, tooling, operations, and quality teams to develop innovative solutions.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years' experience in mechanical design, product design, or tooling design of plastic consumer products
  • Proficiency in NX CAD (Siemens NX)
  • Experience with PDM software (preferably Teamcenter) and revision control
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and levels.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when handling tooling or equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead mechanical / tooling design for product components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability
  • Work on transferring manufacturing processes to new equipment.
  • Document tooling designs and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Stay current on engineering tools, processes, and best practices

    • Preferred / Additional Skills

  • Experience with SolidWorks
  • Knowledge or experience in thermoforming
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of manufacturability considerations for tooling and product design.
