Job description

Overview

Maintenance Operations Planner role at PSA Airlines, Inc. The position is located in OCC and is responsible for overseeing that the aircraft maintenance program tasks are executed, performed, and completed in an effective and efficient manner. The Maintenance Operations Planner monitors, plans, routes, and schedules required maintenance on short-range aircraft (1-7 days).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and conduct scheduling and workload planning to ensure maximum efficiency and full compliance with maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor, forecast, and coordinate the scheduling of short-range maintenance requirements on aircraft.
  • Utilize company computer systems to identify maintenance needs and coordinate with overnight stations to ensure timely compliance.
  • Monitor aircraft status and station operations; coordinate routing or rerouting to address operational irregularities while maintaining the integrity of the maintenance plan and company objectives.
  • Communicate day-of operational changes affecting the maintenance plan; resolve conflicts between maintenance and daily schedules.
  • Provide oversight of the short-range maintenance plan and advise Supervisors and Maintenance Planning of irregularities; coordinate with dispatch for routing conflicts.
  • Balance station nightly workload; coordinate with Base Stations on overnight work plans to optimize station capacity.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure parts, material, tooling, and manpower are available for scheduled work.
  • Coordinate with OCC personnel for ferry or repositioning of scheduled maintenance aircraft.
  • Create, review, and execute daily work orders to maintenance bases via electronic planning platform.
  • Work with MOC & Liaison Engineering to track and schedule fault / deferred maintenance items such as MELs and CDLs.
  • Provide daily turnover communication of critical tasks and items affecting the operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and related safety outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics

Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to speak / read / write English
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Preferred

  • College degree or equivalent experience; two years in aircraft maintenance scheduling / planning or related field
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
  • Additional Information

  • Delegation : In absence, responsibilities delegated to Supervisor of MTX Planning.
  • Authorities : None
  • Supervisory Responsibility : This is not a supervisory position.
  • Work Environment : Professional office environment with standard office equipment.
  • Physical Demands : Largely sedentary; may require standing, walking, stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, and reaching.
