About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technician

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : General Ultrasound

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (18 : 00 - 06 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required

License : NC or Compact license required by start date

Certifications : BLS preferred, RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RVT preferred

Must-Have :

Traveler experience accepted; first-time travelers welcome.

Neonate / NICU experience required.

Pediatric intussusception and appendix experience required.

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in a cancellation.

The expected start date is based on the schedule but is subject to change depending on training availability.

Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week.

Travelers must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes.

Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.

The final start date will be confirmed on the Tuesday prior to the start week.

Unit requires experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, community hospital settings.

Familiarity with PACS, portables, GE equipment, Trophon, EPIC, McKesson is beneficial.

Proficient in general, abdomen, OB / GYN, high-risk obstetrics, renal / pelvis, small parts, vascular (carotid, arterial), Doppler studies.

Experience with peripheral vascular, renal artery duplex, upper / lower extremity venous and arterial procedures is needed.

M-Mode and pediatric experience is essential for the role.

The ultrasound department consists of two procedure rooms and performs approximately 40 procedures daily.

Transport services are available 24 / 7.

Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and census.

Working consecutive days should not exceed five or more than 60 hours per week.

Modules will need completion prior to the start and annually.

Modules will vary based on specialty and will be presented through online learning or in-person classes.
