Accounts Payable Assoc
Position Summary :
The Accounts Payable Associate position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and requires a working knowledge of Accounts Payable processing, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Epicor Financial Suites, a plus. In addition, the Accounts Payable Associate position is responsible for daily processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that all assigned duties / functions are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
I. Position Responsibilities : Essential
- Process high volume of invoices using a three-way match system
- Ensure proper approvals are received on all invoices
- Correspond with vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Correspond with the field to resolve purchase order / payment issues
- Assisting with month end close duties which may require working late to ensure all functions are completed.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
II. Essential Skills / Credentials / Experience / Education
- A minimum of 3 years of recent Accounts Payable experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple activities under stressful situations
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy with basic understanding of accounting controls
- Proficient in MS Office
- BS Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate
- Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
- Able to achieve results in a fast-paced changing environment
- Ability to compose and express thoughts in a clear and concise way to ensure effective communication
- Flexibility to work long hours on a regular basis (to include weekends), as business conditions demand
- Ability to manage multiple activities under stressful situations
III. Mental and Physical Demands
Work Environment :
Typical office environment moderate noise level
Physical Demands :
- Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces
- Sitting for eight (8) hour shifts.
- The position will be physically located in the Atlanta office; working remotely (outside of Company Directed Guidelines) is not permitted.
Currently, the in-office work model is a hybrid with 2 days remote / 3 days in the office.
This position is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Extensive use of hands and fingers for manipulation of keyboard, answering phone calls (100% of the time)
