We are seeking a seasoned and motivated Underground Utilities Superintendent to join our dynamic Construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of underground utility construction projects, ensuring that operations are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. 1. Oversee all aspects of underground utility construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring that operations are carried out in accordance with company standards and project specifications.

2. Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and staff, providing guidance and direction as necessary.

3. Review and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate and efficient construction of underground utilities.

4. Maintain a safe and clean job site by enforcing safety and health regulations, conducting regular safety meetings, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

5. Prepare comprehensive project status reports, documenting project progress, issues, and solutions.

6. Manage and control project budgets, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.

7. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and local authorities, to ensure smooth project execution.

8. Implement and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and customer expectations.

9. Troubleshoot and resolve construction issues, implementing innovative solutions to complex problems.

10. Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Job Details

Qualifications :

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on underground utilities and pipe construction.

2. Proven experience in supervising and coordinating construction projects, with a track record of meeting project deadlines and budgets.

3. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and safety regulations related to underground utilities and pipe construction.

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of professionals.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex construction issues.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with project stakeholders.

7. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

8. Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and standards in the construction industry.

9. Ability to work in challenging conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.

10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different job sites as required.
