Teacher Inclusion and Student Support (Long-Term Sub) [SY25-26]

The Linden S.T.E.A.M Community :

The Linden S.T.E.A.M Academy is a K-8 School within the Malden Public School District that creates a personalized learning experience using small group differentiated instruction and project-based learning (PBL) to inspire all students towards becoming college and career ready. Our students experience STEM classes in our new Makerspace and Robotics lab.

We believe all children can meet challenging expectations through a partnership among home school and community to become collaborators critical thinkers communicators creators and global citizens. All of our students participate in a yearly Exhibition Night where their work is on display for the Malden and Linden communities as students conduct Presentations of Learning to demonstrate their understanding and growth.

Our school uses the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) model to support the students social and emotional growth throughout our school community. We focus on being safe respectful and responsible across the school community and environment.

Preferred qualifications : DESE licensed in Moderate Disabilities Prek-8 or 5-12 and SEI-Teacher Endorsement

Reports to : Building Principal

Salary :

$135 / Day - Retired Teacher w / DESE Certification

$125 / Day DESE Teaching Certification

$100 / Day No Certification

If a substitute holds a Bachelors degree or a Teaching License and they serve in the same assignment for a 30 consecutive work day probationary period they are eligible to have their pay rate increased to a per diem rate of $210 / day for the remainder of their current assignment; pay returns to the daily rate at the conclusion of their assignment; however if they move to another long-term assignment within a month they do not have to restart the probationary period again and may continue receiving the per diem rate. Requests to move to the per diem rate at the end of probationary period must be made to and confirmation will be submitted to payroll.
