About Our Client

Our client for the Global Director of Finance is a global provider of integrated software solutions for engineering and manufacturing.

Their integrated software solutions are used in Aerospace, Defense, Food and Beverage Manufacturing, Transportation and more.

This group has locations in 15 countries globally. This division is a subsidiary of a global multibillion dollar organization and a part of the Forbes 2000.

The Global Director of Finance is a highly visible report role reporting to the President of the division, and will have regular interaction and exposure with the parent company's business segment including the segment CEO, CFO and President.

The Global Director of Finance will lead a global team with personal based in the US, Europe and Asia. This is a remote role, but will require frequent travel to the Cincinnati, Ohio especially at the beginning.

Preferred candidates would be based in Ohio or the Midwest region.

Job Description

• Lead and serve as the Head of Finance for division globally
• Provide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities
• Responsible for timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly and annual closing for the business unit
• Report to executive management customer profitability and analysis of performance of results and variance vs budget
• Actively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility.
• Analyze current organizational finance and accounting structure and resource allocation and make changes as needed
• Review business performance and results vs variances to budget, reforecasting and previous performance
• Ensure compliance with internal structure as well as global laws and regulations
• Establish and report against KPIs for the business units and corporate
• Responsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business plan
• Ensure accounting policies adhere to Group Policies
• Oversees the organization's risk management including establishing and improving internal controls and procedures
• Personnel evaluation and / or development of a strong accounting and finance team driving performance while developing and growing team's skillets
• Work on strategic projects including M&A (mergers and acquisitions), IT projects, and other various projects as needed
• Travel to global sites and to parent company headquarters in Europe

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar required
• MBA and / or CPA / CMA highly preferred
• 10-15 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, and Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of experience is a Sr. Financial Leadership position
• Ability and proven track record working with various departments - sales, finance, accounting, HR, engineering, manufacturing, etc.
• Prior experience working in a global matrix organization is a plus
• Proven track record of developing and implementing operational improvements to increase revenues, decrease costs and improve cash flow
• Experience in manufacturing software and / or software technology companies is a plus
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and products, business intelligence systems
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with large ERP systems
• SAP experience highly preferred
• Business minded and strong team player mentality

What's on Offer
