Job Description
Is the fourth level in the engineering series. Incumbents lead complex engineering projects, engineering initiatives. This role has no direct reports.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Aligns with and actively supports Amcor values by putting safety first in all situation.
Determines customer's needs by identifying problems and safety concerns. Develop and evaluate solutions thereby defining project scope.
Interfaces with people, departments, and / or companies to ensure that equipment is safe, made on schedule and to specification
Manages project costs, project scheduling and supplying pertinent communication for multiple highly complex and wide-ranging engineering projects, which may vary in terms of scope and responsibilities.
Actively participates on continuous improvement / kaizen teams and leads teams as requested.

Facilities
Evaluates and improves upon current successful company best practices to engineering design, layouts and installations.
Conceptualizes, creates, and plans programming, configuration, integration, networking and communication services using equipment and software from a variety of HMI, SCADA, and PLC manufacturers, as well as various communication protocols.
Conceptualizes, creates, and plans designs for mechanical systems.
Conceptualizes, creates, and plans designs for electrical systems.
Conducts studies for large-scale projects pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these studies, develops and implements optimized product flow.
Investigates and conceptualizes new large-scale automation solutions to solve manufacturing issues. Automation solutions can include (industrial robotics, AGVs / AMRs, cobots, right-sized automation, inspection systems, etc.)
Conceptualizes, creates, and plans designs for data collection and analysis, SPC, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
