DecisiveInstincts LLC is a JV (joint venture) between ActioNet and Akamai Technologies. We are looking for an experienced Computer Scientist / Project Manager (PM) to oversee the execution of a major IT services contract supporting the FBI. The focus is on enhancing the FBI’s enterprise systems by maintaining secure cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, while enabling advanced data capabilities through scalable ETL pipelines and the migration of custom-developed tools into enterprise platforms. In parallel, the team engages in forward-leaning research on emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, and mobile messaging applications to inform next-generation solutions. As part of its operational mission, the project provides direct case support and real-time data analysis for high-profile events managed by the 24 / 7 operations center. Responsibilities :

• Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Plans and leads major technology assignments.
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• Collaborates with CT investigators, analysts, and professional staff, often directly engaging non-technical personnel to understand functional needs / issues / gaps, recommend solutions, and develop technically feasible tools in a timely manner.
• Builds and / or supports preparation of basic technical, business, and end user documentation.
• As a strong, individual contributor : identifies and recommends remedies, and / or implements solutions which enhance existing software and systems capabilities, performance, and security and / or introduce efficiencies or automation into stakeholder workflows.
• Performs programming (. Python), code refactoring, systems operations, and / or design.
• Evaluates COTS, GOTS, OSS, and other software and systems to implement algorithmically complex data and technology solutions.
• Contributes to the technical work program of one or more projects.
• As the On-Site Lead provides thought leadership and technical and analytical expertise to the Government and vendor project team.
• Ensures vendor project team adherence to quality standards.
• Manages the integration of vendor tasks, track project progress, and conduct project analysis resulting in appropriate metrics when requested.
