Technical Designer

Our client is seeking a Technical Designer to their Washington, D.C. based Design Team. This role focuses on turning seasonal garment concepts into well-fitting, production-ready pieces that reflect the company’s signature style, quality, and performance.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in garment construction and fit, thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and enjoys refining and scaling a growing product assortment. You will partner with design, product development, and vendors to ensure every silhouette - from classics to seasonal statements - meets the highest standards of fit and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Translate garment designs into technical specifications and production-ready tech packs.
• Lead fit sessions, evaluate samples, and guide vendors through revisions.
• Collaborate with factories to resolve construction issues and maintain consistency in fit and quality.
• Track samples, manage tech details, and prepare fittings.
• Stay current on new techniques, fabric innovations, and sustainability practices.
