The Accounts Receivable / Credit Manager position is located at our North American Headquarters in the AT&T (Batman) Building in downtown Nashville, TN. The Manager, Credit & Accounts Receivable will oversee the full credit lifecycle, manage AR performance, and ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external risk standards. This leader will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and external credit agencies to make informed credit decisions that protect Hankook Tire's financial position while supporting business growth.
Credit & AR Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the Credit & Accounts Receivable team, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and adherence to policy.
Oversee daily credit hold reviews, releases, and escalations for North American customer orders within established credit limits and terms.Establish and maintain credit policies, procedures, and risk criteria aligned with corporate guidance.Coordinate workflow across credit analysis, collections, dispute resolution, and AR portfolio management.Customer Credit Evaluation & Risk Management
Approve new and revised credit lines based on financial analysis, risk assessment, customer history, and third-party reports.
Ensure team accuracy when reviewing financial statements, D&B, NACM reports, and inputting financial data into the Credit Management Suite (CMS).Partner with external credit agencies (Coface, Wells Fargo, CIT, D&B) to validate customer viability and appropriate credit risk coverage.Oversee filings of UCC1 and Security Agreements as required to secure company interests.Accounts Receivable & Collections
Oversee AR portfolio performance, aging trends, and collection effectiveness for TBR, PCLT, OE, Corporate and New Channel Development accounts.
Review and resolve complex customer payment discrepancies, including chargebacks, cash discounts, returns, and other deductions.Ensure timely processing of AVB, Haiss, CDTP, pricing credits, and other OTC-related adjustments.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Facilitate monthly meetings with Sales Managers and Regional Directors to review account status, past due balances, and resolutions of deductions or chargebacks.
Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Senior Management to drive process improvements that reduce AR risk and enhance efficiency.Integrate customer sales performance, forecasting, and profitability trends into credit line evaluations.Key Accountabilities
Ensuring customer orders are released according to policy to support revenue while limiting credit and collection risks.Strategic oversight of credit line determinations using financial analysis, liquidity metrics, asset management ratios, and profitability analysis.Maintaining high-quality standards for credit evaluation and financial data integrity within CMS and SAP (or other ERP).Core Competencies
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build, guide, and motivate a team.Expertise in financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelSAP or other ERP experience preferred.Excellent communication skillswritten, verbal, and customer-facing.Ability to handle challenging conversations with professionalism and composure.Strong collaboration skills and a positive, team-focused approach.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.Minimum 68 years of progressive experience in credit, collections, and financial analysis; 23 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity strongly preferred.In-depth knowledge of credit, AR, and collections practices in a manufacturing or distribution environment.Experience working with financial statements, credit agencies, and secured transactions (UCC filings).DISCLAIMER : The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
