We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Administrator to design, deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications across cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes cluster operations, container orchestration, DevOps practices, and cloud-native infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters (on-prem, cloud-managed clusters : EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Administer Kubernetes components including API server, scheduler, controller manager, kubelet, and etcd.
- Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines for application deployment and cluster updates.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker, Helm charts, Operators, and YAML manifests.
- Monitor cluster health, performance, and logs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Implement security best practices : RBAC, network policies, secrets management, Pod Security Standards, and image scanning.
- Manage cluster scaling, node pools, auto-scaling groups, and resource quotas.
- Troubleshoot cluster issues including pod failures, networking issues, storage problems, and performance bottlenecks.
- Work with developers and DevOps teams to ensure optimized deployments and infrastructure reliability.
- Maintain and automate cluster upgrades, backup / restore, and disaster recovery processes.
- Configure and administer service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) if applicable.
- Implement ingress controllers, load balancing, and service discovery.
- Document operational procedures, runbooks, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.3-7+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration.Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and system troubleshooting.Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, workloads, controllers, CRDs, and storage.Hands-on experience with Docker and container lifecycle management.Experience deploying and managing workloads on EKS, AKS, or GKE .Proficiency in writing and maintaining manifests in YAML, Helm , or Kustomize.Experience with automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or Go).Knowledge of DevOps tools : Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, FluxCD.Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.Strong understanding of networking (DNS, ingress, load balancing, CNI plugins).Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS strongly preferred).Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or IaC for provisioning K8s resources.Familiarity with cloud-native technologies :Service mesh (Istio / Linkerd)
API gatewaysContainer registriesExperience with high-availability clusters and multi-region deployments.Knowledge of GitOps methodologies.Experience supporting microservices and distributed systems
