1 year Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility.

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups.

The nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

The nurse will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.

This role requires maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care.

The registered nurse will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.

Patient rights and confidentiality of patient information must be maintained.

The nurse will work in a busy urban trauma center, providing care to high-acuity patients.

Flexibility and decisive decision-making skills are important for success in this role.

The position involves standing and walking most of the time on duty.

Lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs is required.

Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and performing minimal kneeling and crouching.

The work environment is typically clean and air-conditioned.

This role requires excellent human relations and communication skills.

Demonstrating clinical expertise in the area of responsibility is essential.
