Job Purpose
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Slot Department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Slot Department by receiving, sorting and routing mail for the department, sorting and filing team member bank variances, placing service calls for department equipment, maintaining department information and communication on bulletin boards, updating database records, collaborating with Marketing Department personnel to ensure proper machine signage, informing IT department of bank moves, and performing other miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned by the Administrative Manager. - 40%
Provides the Payroll Department with an accurate accounting of the Slot staff time and attendance by reviewing payroll system for accuracy, entering updates and adjustments in the system, communicating unusual findings to the Slot Administrative Manager, communicating with the Payroll Department on payroll related matters, and answering team member questions regarding pay and timekeeping policies and procedures. - 25%
Ensures the integrity of slot machine information by retrieving and recording data from individual machines, maintaining progressive jackpot base / reset spreadsheets, ensuring dissemination of information to entire department, maintaining confidentiality and security of all information, maintaining and updating the Slot Warehouse Cage Inventory database, and reporting discrepancies based on established procedures. - 15%
Ensures Slot personnel are assigned proper level of slot machine access by making embossed Oasis mechanic cards, dispensing cards to authorized personnel, maintaining CIS database, checking Key Watcher for back up card replacements, maintaining an accurate inventory record of cards issued, and retrieving and destroying cards following established procedures. - 10%
Maintains a professional department image by consistently communicating and presenting information in a professional manner in all business interactions, providing initial guest service by greeting visitors and team members in a friendly and courteous manner, screening and directing team members and visitors to the appropriate staff, and coordinating requests for slot projects assistance as directed. - 5%
Maintains adequate supply of standard stock items by ensuring availability of appropriate forms, processing supply requisitions and returns, organizing supply inventory, and researching purchasing options as instructed by department management. -5%
Job Specifications
Education and Experience :
Essential :
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2 years of administrative experience
Desirable :
Casino slot floor experience
Timekeeping software experience
Skills and Knowledge :
Essential :
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to read and recover data and serial numbers from gaming machines
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with guests and team members
Ability to compose, read, and edit written documents in the English language
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments
Ability to complete office forms and documents
Ability to maintain filing systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
Ability to appear for work on time
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
Ability to accept constructive criticism
