Spa Assistant Assistant Manager(AAM)
Title Spa Assistant Assistant Manager(AAM) Description Preferred applicants will have a Cosmetologist License in hair and nails, 2 years previous spa management experience, and will be available to work weekends and evenings.
This primary responsibility of the Spa Assistant Assistant Manager (AAM) is to be part of the management team and assist the Spa Director in overseeing the effective operations of the spa and to oversee the spa technicians.
In addition to performing spa technician job duties, the Spa AAM duties will include :
- Reservation management
- Interviewing, hiring, training, and supervision of spa technicians
- Scheduling
- Solving problems to insure guest satisfaction
- Inventory and ordering supplies
- Maintaining retail sales and product merchandising
- Attending department and manager meetings
- Assisting the Spa Director in conducting regular department staff meetings
- Maintaining employee files and conducting employee evaluations
- Managing labor costs
- Enforcing and adhering to McMenamins policy and procedure
- General filing and administrative duties
- Assisting staff and guests with any questions, problems, and / or needs
- Maintaining customer relations.
The Spa AAM works closely with the Spa Director to coordinate special events as related to the spa and will be involved in implementing new services and products.
This position is essential in ensuring the high quality of our guests spa experience to promote return customer business and word of mouth reputation.
This job can be hard physical work and requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment.
You must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to management.
All McMenamins employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned.
