JOB OVERVIEW
We areseeking a highly skilled Lead Developer / Architect to join ourwireless core engineering team for the Next Generation NetworkPriority Services project.
In this role you will lead the designand development of innovative software solutions that integrategeospatial technology with our wireless communication systems toenhance Next Generation Network Priority Services informationdissemination and emergency response capabilities.
You willcollaborate closely with our wireless engineering team GISspecialists and public safety officials to ensure seamlessintegration of geospatial data into our communication systemscontributing to improved public safety outcomesnationwide.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and architecture of software solutionsfor the Next Generation Network Priority Services project focusingon integrating geospatial technology with wireless communicationsystems to support information dissemination and emergencyresponse.
- Collaborate with wireless coreengineering team members to gather requirements define systemarchitecture and develop detailed technical specifications anddesigns that incorporate geospatial data visualization analysis andmapping capabilities.
- Provide technicalleadership and guidance to development teams overseeing theimplementation of software solutions and ensuring adherence tocoding standards quality guidelines and best practices particularlyin the context of wireless communication systems.
- Drive the development of scalable maintainable andhighperformance software components modules and APIs leveragingappropriate geospatial technologies frameworks andmethodologies.
- Conduct architecture reviewscode reviews and performance assessments to identify areas forimprovement and optimization and implement solutions to addresstechnical challenges and bottlenecks in geospatialdevelopment.
- Champion innovation andcontinuous improvement initiatives in geospatial technologyintegration within the wireless core engineering team stayingabreast of emerging geospatial technologies trends andadvancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders todefine and prioritize feature roadmaps release plans anddevelopment milestones for geospatial software solutions ensuringalignment with project goals and technical requirements.
- Provide technical support troubleshooting assistance andmentorship to development teams in geospatial technologyintegration and software architecture best practices fostering aculture of collaboration knowledge sharing and continuous learningwithin the wireless core engineering team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science SoftwareEngineering GIS or a related field; or equivalent professionalexperience.
- Proven experience as a LeadDeveloper Software Architect or Technical Lead with a strongbackground in software design development and architectureparticularly in the context of wireless communication systems andgeospatial technology integration.
- Extensiveexperience in designing and architecting scalable distributed andhighavailability software systems and applications with a focus onintegrating geospatial data visualization analysis and mappingcapabilities.
- Expertise in geospatial conceptstechnologies and standards including Geographic Information Systems(GIS) spatial databases mapping APIs and locationbasedservices.
- Proficiency in one or moreprogramming languages (e.g. Python Java JavaScript) with experiencein developing geospatial applications and solutions using relevantgeospatial libraries frameworks and tools.
- Strong familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML / CSSJavaScript frontend frameworks / libraries) and backend technologies(serverside languages / frameworks database systems) commonly used infullstack development including React.
js Angular Vue.js Node.jsDjango Spring Boot PostgreSQL / PostGIS MySQL MongoDB etc.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)IDEs / text editors (Visual Studio Code IntelliJ IDEA PyCharm)testing frameworks (Jest Jasmine PyTest) and CI / CD pipelines in thecontext of fullstack development.
- Familiaritywith mapping APIs (Google Maps API Mapbox API Leaflet.js) andgeospatial analysis libraries (GDAL / OGR GeoPandas Turf.
js) forperforming spatial analysis tasks.
