EHS Coordinator - Full-Time Day Shift
Pay : $36-$40 / hour (with overtime potential)

About the Role
Smart Safety Gulf Coast is seeking a EHS Coordinator to support one of our clients on a large-scale construction project in Gallatin, TX. This is a full-time, onsite position where you will lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance, and foster a strong safety culture on behalf of both Smart Safety Gulf Coast and the client. This project assignment is expected to last 1-2 months .
What It's Like to Be a EHS Coordinator
As a EHS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in overseeing and enforcing safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and client requirements. You will maintain accurate safety documentation, conduct orientations, and lead safety meetings and training sessions. Fall protection knowledge is essential, as this project requires work at elevated heights. You'll collaborate closely with client project managers to integrate safety measures into construction practices while representing the company professionally.
Qualifications
CPR / First Aid certification (required).
Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation.
Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations, local safety laws, and regulatory agencies.
Recent experience serving as the dedicated safety resource at a job site.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and implement solutions.
Comfortable climbing a large amount of steps, standing / walking for extended periods, and working at heights.
Essential Functions
Plan, coordinate, and oversee safety functions at the client's job site.
Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and monitor productivity in relation to OSHA compliance.
Track and report time spent on safety activities.
Prepare with the proper mindset, equipment, and PPE before entering the job site.
Attend company and client-directed safety meetings and training.
Ensure safety programs are implemented and followed.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and municipal safety regulations.
Provide real-time coaching, counseling, and support to employees on-site.

Frequent communication with coworkers, supervisors, and client staff. Regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools or equipment. Climbing to high levels, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
