Job Description : The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.\n\nOur Talent Share Float Pool is a great place for your career to thrive. Our RNs enjoy 12-hour NIGHT assignments at locations throughout the Denver area.\n\nThe Critical Care pool floats to ICU, tele, stepdown. Critical care RNs do NOT float to M / S units unless they would like to do so.\n\nThe M / S pool floats to all hospital M / S units and can also float to hospice or home health, depending on interest.\n\nAll full-time float positions include a medical, dental, vision, 401(k) benefit package, and any full time RN who wishes to increase their skillset to become a charge RN, preceptor or participate in ongoing education can obtain stackable differentials for those additional skills.\n\nOur locations in the Denver area include : \n\nGood Samaritan Medical Center - Lafayette\n\nLutheran Medical Center - Wheat Ridge\n\nPlatte Valley Medical Center - Brighton\n\nSaint Joseph Hospital - Denver\n\nCollier Hospice - Wheat Ridge\n\nFreestanding ED\n\nPosting Specifics\n\nShift details : Full Time and PRN, Night shifts (Shift differential available)\n\nBase Pay is dependent on experience\n\nWill receive $10 an hour Float Pool differential\n\nCurrently hiring for ICU and ED\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required\n\nCurrent Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required\n\nCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (ACLS for critical care)\n\nMinimum of one year of nursing experience in a critical care setting, required\n\nPhysical Requirements : Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting / ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing / pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.\n\nLocation : Peaks Regional Office\n\nWork City : Broomfield\n\nWork State : Colorado\n\nScheduled Weekly Hours : 36\n\nThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
