Job Description Summary:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator, CPM (50%)
Operations (60%)
• Conducting AACPMAS applicant reviews
• Facilitating applicant interviews, schedules, and decisions.
• Assisting with recruitment efforts specifically for CPM events (e.g., webinars, Q&As, table events, presentations, immersion days, conferences)
• Supporting prospective student and applicants via 1:1 counseling appointment.
• Facilitate meetings between CPM Leadership and SMU admissions department
Communications (20%)
• Functions as a liaison between CPM and the other SMU offices and departments regarding recruiting and admissions.
• Use initiative and independent judgment to manage and resolve problems, concerns and complaints.
• Attend local and national conferences and recruiting events connecting with prospective & current students, as well as with alumni
• Attending CPM events and provide communications to the community on the events and achievements of CPM
Supervision (5%)
• Direct supervisor for CPM work study students
Committee Assignments (10%)
• Provide staff support for CSPM Dean’s Council and the Podiatric Medicine Education Advisory Committee (PMEAC).
• Represent CPM on assigned committees, work groups and employee forums for the SMU community.
• AACPM SAO Representative for CPM at national meetings
Other duties as assigned (5%)

Operations (65%)
• Management of the CSPM grade reporting process, including submission of course and clinical rotation grades, grade changes, incomplete grades and in-progress grades.
• Provides administrative support for the CSPM leadership team.
• Manages scheduling of classroom assignments for courses and on-campus rotations.
• Provides administrative support for accreditation reports.
• Manages and oversees the incorporation of new technologies into applicable programs and services, including the training of faculty and staff members in these technologies.
• Manages and oversees course and rotation attendance, including monitoring of all absences.
• Manages and oversees the independent contracting process.
Communications (15%)
• Functions as a liaison between CSPM and the other SMU offices and departments.
• Use initiative and independent judgment to manage and resolve problems, concerns and complaints.
• Manage and maintain specific CSPM data and confidential files for use by the deans and faculty members.
Supervision (5%)
• Direct supervisor for work study students
Committee Assignments

Other duties as assigned 10%
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five years experience working in an academic environment, including extensive contact with students.
Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift, bend and flex the upper body
• Able to be sedentary for extended periods of time
• Able to go back and forth across campus several times per day
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and push and pull carts
Travel Requirements:
• Travel up to 20% or more
