Electrician 2 (Position 2500038)
Are you a licensed Electrician ready to take on a new challenge? Join the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and help maintain safe, efficient and comfortable environments in state-owned and leased buildings in the Wilsonville / Portland Metro area.
As an Electrician 2, you'll perform skilled electrical maintenance on building systems including :
- Troubleshooting and repairing lighting systems, controls, relays, timers, and contactors
- Performing corrective and preventative maintenance
- Using various tools and test equipment (e.g., drills, ladders, multimeters)
- Coordinating with DAS supervisors and contractors on compliance testing and construction support
- Estimating time and materials for small projects and maintaining supply inventory

Minimum Qualifications :
A valid General Journeyman Electrical LicenseSpecial Qualifications :
Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license issued by the state where the employee resides.Desired Attributes :
Experience reading blueprints and using electrical test equipment.Exceptional analytical, problem solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.Ability to complete tasks and projects with a high attention to detail and safety.Ability to work independently without constant supervision, as well as collaboratively as a team member.Basic Computer skills with ability to operate various programs (e.g., lighting control systems, Computer Integrated Facilities Management Software (IWMS), MS Office, and maintenance / time tracking software); PC skills and experience that includes using PC based software to receive dispatched work tasks as well as create work tasks used to communicate time logs, notes, locations, and task status daily.Basic knowledge of programming languages for system integrationWhy Join DAS?
