Loan Servicing Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Loan Servicing Support Specialist to join our team in Meriden, Connecticut. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate processing and servicing of loans while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional support to clients.

Responsibilities :

Coordinate escrow payments for property taxes, insurance, and homeowner association fees.
Process and manage loan payments, advances, and adjustments efficiently.
Investigate and resolve issues related to misapplied or missing loan payments.
Perform loan maintenance tasks, including modifications, extensions, and updates to the core system.
Address and correct credit reporting errors, while responding to disputes promptly.
Review loan documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance.
Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards in all activities.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to streamline processes and maintain records.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.

Ability to work in a compliance-driven and confidential environment.

Previous experience in loan servicing or related financial roles is a plus.
