Maintenance Technician - Mechanic

Position Type : Full-Time, Hourly Compensation will be based on experience and skills What You’ll Do As a Maintenance Mechanic at ProAmpac, you’ll play a key role in supporting our production operations by ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our machinery and facility systems. Your responsibilities will include : Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure Troubleshooting issues with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems Completing work orders and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and production needs Collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to coordinate repairs and installations Maintaining accurate records of maintenance tasks, projects, and completion timelines Following all safety procedures and contributing to a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Working independently and taking initiative to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus 2–4 years of experience in equipment and facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, and HVAC Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and CMMS software Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to read and follow instructions, technical manuals, and schematics Physically able to bend, stretch, climb, and lift / move up to 50 pounds Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and safety Why Choose ProAmpac?
