Responsibilities

Peraton's Cyber Mission supports the United States Air Force by delivering mission-critical Cyber professionals who defend our nation's security. Peraton is seeking a Information Technology Security, Advisor to support our mission to defend and protect our national security.

The Information Technology Security, Advisor ensures the security and integrity of IT systems by overseeing RMF processes, guiding security authorization workflows, and advising on implementation of security controls. They provide continuous oversight and consultative support to stakeholders, enabling secure mission operations and compliance with cyber operations standards.

Responsibilities may include :

The Information Technology Security, Advisor will be responsible for the following, but not limited to :

Implement and oversee Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps across assigned systems to drive security authorization processes.

• Advise stakeholders on security control implementation and documentation to support system Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including Security Authorization packages and Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts.
• Coordinate with Information Assurance leadership to ensure alignment with CNSSI, DoDI, ICD, and other cyber operations directives.
• Monitor and update security controls throughout the system lifecycle to sustain continuous compliance.
• Analyze system vulnerabilities and recommend corrective action to preserve cyber operations posture.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
