Job Summary :

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking a PRN pathologist to provide floating coverage at our hospitals in the South market which includes coverage at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL.

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomes.

Qualified Candidates :

  • AP / CP certification or board eligibility
  • Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
  • Ability to provide ongoing coverage as needed on Monday and Tuesday at HCA Florida Blake Hospital and additional as needed at any of the facilities in the surrounding area
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain

    • Pathology Work Description :

  • Wide range of surgical pathology specimens
  • Cytology cases primarily consist of a variety of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA’s, and lung FNA’s
  • Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.

  • Blake provides the community a verified Level II Trauma Center, the only Trauma Center in Manatee County. The hospital also provides one of only six burn centers in the State.
  • Additionally, Blake offers ER 24 / 7®, a Joint Replacement and Spine Institute, Heart and Vascular Center, Breast Care Center, Limb Saving Institute, Lung Care Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, premier neuroscience services, cancer care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and physical therapy services, complex hand repair, and 24 / 7 hyperbaric medicine.
  • Blake’s extensive range of surgical services includes metabolic and bariatric, microvascular, open heart, neurological, colorectal, urologic, and general surgery.
  • Blake’s Graduate Medical Education program includes a Transitional Year program as well as an Internal Medicine Residency program and is affiliated with the USF Morsani College of Medicine.
