Head Baker
KeyResponsibilities :
Managethe daily operations of the ships bakery including orderingingredients maintaining inventory and ensuring a clean andorganized work environment onboard the cruiseship
Work closely with theExecutive Chef to create and execute a variety of baked goodsdesserts and pastries for our guests
Ensure allbaked goods are made to the highest quality standards and arevisually appealing
Train and supervise a team ofbakers ensuring they adhere to company standards and follow properfood safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with other departments such as the dining room and roomservice to ensure timely and efficient delivery of baked goods toguests
Stay updated on current food trends andincorporate them into the menu when appropriate
Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment following all healthand safetyregulations
Requirements :
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Head Baker preferably in ahighvolume fine dining establishment
Culinarydegree or equivalent experience in baking and pastryarts
Strong knowledge of baking techniquesingredients and equipment
Ability to manage andtrain a team
Excellent time management andorganizational skills
Ability to work in afastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks atonce
Strong communication and interpersonalskills
Fluent in English both written andverbal
Must be able to work a flexible scheduleincluding evenings weekends and holidays
Must beable to pass a preemployment medical examination and obtainnecessary travel documents
