Under the guidance of the Sr Clinical Engineer and supervision of the Director of Clinical Engineering, this position performs a variety of routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of typically non-life support imaging and imaging related clinical equipment involved in the treatment, care, diagnosis, and monitoring of patients.
Hourly Pay Rate : $29.20 - $43.07
Qualifications
Education :
Requires an Associate's degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology; or must have a minimum of two (2) years of military training in clinical equipment or vocational training in electronics.
Experience :
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible Imaging Engineer experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Specialized Training :
Prefer successful completion of the manufacturer's equipment training service schools in one of the following : MRI, CT, Linear Accelerators, or Nuclear Medicine.
Certification / Licensure :
Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
CRES (Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist) certification by AAMI is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Must have advanced knowledge of imaging electronics troubleshooting both technically and clinically; and must have advanced knowledge of safety precautions applicable to the operation and maintenance of clinical equipment.
Must be able to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical instrumentation.
Must be able to coordinate complex projects and prioritize tasks.
Must be able to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions' work under limited supervision, work as a team, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
