Job description
  • Dispense prescriptions and coordinate clinical services for specialty drugs at the branch location.
  • Review patient profiles, drug interactions, sensitivities, and drug usage databases related to prescriptions.
  • Determine if prescriptions require physician clarification or follow-up and communicate accordingly.
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer system and ensure accuracy of dispensing.
  • Assist with patient services, including answering medication questions and concerns from patients.
  • Make phone calls to physicians and participate in therapeutic interventions as needed.
  • Maintain procedures related to quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and hazardous waste disposal.
