Director of Data Architecture
Fidelity Workplace Investing (WI) is looking for a highly skilled data architect to enhance the Workplace Platforms product area. If you are passionate about data architecture and strategy development, this position offers an opportunity to shape our data modernization initiatives. You will collaborate with various business units and enterprise technology teams, working alongside business leaders, architects, and engineers to influence our core strategies and deliver essential data capabilities.
Your Expertise and Skills
Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree required
Proven leadership experience in architecting, designing, and building scalable transactional and analytical applications
Strong ability to develop data strategies and conceptual architectures while collaborating with development teams for execution
Expertise in data management best practices including integration, security, warehousing, analytics, metadata, and quality
Experience in evaluating, prototyping, and recommending innovative data technologies and platforms
Proficient in developing enterprise applications and data solutions in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS
Experience architecting complex, high-volume systems to meet performance demands
Deep understanding of Data Modeling concepts including 3rd normal form and dimensional modeling
Familiarity with relational database technologies like Oracle and Snowflake, cloud-native databases such as Yugabyte DB, Cockroach DB, and NoSQL solutions like Aerospike
Strong programming skills in SQL and Python, Java experience is a plus
ETL experience in on-premises and cloud environments, preferably with tools like Python, Informatica, and Snaplogic
Knowledge of data processing techniques including Change Data Capture, Eventing, and Streaming technologies
Background in analytical reporting, particularly with Snowflake and PowerBI
Understanding of cloud concepts with a focus on resiliency, scalability, and performance related to data databases
The base salary range for this position is $126,000-255,000 USD per year, depending on responsibilities, geographic location, and relevant experience.
This base salary is part of a comprehensive compensation package that may include bonuses or other variable components.
