Description

As a Site Development Intern, you will work closely with our site development team to support various projects related to land development, site planning, and civil engineering.

This position offers hands-on experience in conducting site assessments, preparing design plans, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

You will have the opportunity to gain practical insight into the site development process and contribute to the execution of diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Preparation : Support engineers and designers in preparing site development plans, grading plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and other design documents using CAD software.
  • Permitting Assistance : Assist in preparing permit applications and supporting documentation required for regulatory approvals, including zoning permits, land use permits, and environmental permits.
  • Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams, including civil engineers, landscape architects, and environmental specialists, to coordinate project tasks and ensure alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Site Assessments : Assist in conducting site visits and assessments to evaluate existing conditions, including topography, soil characteristics, drainage patterns, and environmental factors.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in site development, civil engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
