KPMG is currently seeking a Temporary Systems Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator for a nine-month assignment to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications running on Windows and Linux operating systems
- Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; including the installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases
- Work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users to keep them informed of progress and estimated delivery timeframe
- Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of appropriate project technical documentation including design, configuration, installation
- Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management and escalation processes with the ability to work in a production support environment providing on-call support, including off hours and weekend support
Qualifications
Minimum one year of recent experience operating in a large enterprise environment and understanding of implementing systems at scale; technical skills in Windows Server and Linux operating systems and working knowledge of SANsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferredProficiency in Microsoft technologies including IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates and PowerShell; experience in VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS platform administration is a plus; strong troubleshooting skills using built-in Windows OS toolsAbility to automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, and experience deploying software across the server estateExperience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plusMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the futureKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("KPMG") comply with all local / state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
