Your geotechnical projects will include supporting civil engineers, structural engineers, and A / E design teams investigating geotechnical conditions to support design of new construction projects for a variety of public and private clients.

Typical projects in our Anchorage office range from designing foundations for new buildings, bridges, and waterfront structures, to investigating pavements on Alaskan roads, airport runways, designing new roads in undeveloped land, working alongside our environmental staff for soil testing and remediation projects, and much more.

We work in every region of the state, so you will be challenged by a wide variety of soil and bedrock, seismic environments, and permafrost conditions, working in both urban and rural settings.

New staff at Shannon & Wilson are welcomed into our firm with a well-organized corporate onboarding process and made to feel at home.

Our two-story Anchorage office contains a full laboratory for geotechnical materials testing staffed by full-time lab technicians, a large conference room, and a convenient midtown location with plenty of parking.

The Anchorage Office Manager / Anchorage Geotechnical Team Manager provides a supportive and fun work environment. Staff enjoy an annual BBQ, group downhill ski outing, and various other friendly team-building events.

Between challenging, career-building projects and the endless recreational opportunities of Anchorage, come meet our team and find out if our Anchorage office is the right place for you!
