Founders Classical Academy of Frisco - Head Cheer Coach Job Description
Stipend - $3,000
Direct Report - Athletic Director
Spring / Preseason Duties (March - June) :
- Organize and conduct cheer tryouts
- Lead two to three weekly two-hour practices to prepare for cheer camp and football season
- Hold a Spring Cheer parent meeting detailing the upcoming cheer events of spring season
- Organize the Middle School Cheer pep-squad camp
- Conduct a cheer uniform fitting with the Varsity Spirit Representative
- Hold a one-day / multi-day two-hour cheer prep camp the week of NCA cheer camp
- Attend a four-day NCA or UCA overnight camp in DFW
- Communicate with the Booster Club President
- Organize the following Spring fundraisers
Fall / Football Season Duties (August - November) :
- Lead two to three weekly two-and-a-half-hour practices
- Plan, organize, and lead the following aspects of school pep rallies :
- Attend all (five) home football games (6 PM-Fridays) and all (five) home volleyball games (date and times vary throughout the week)
- Attend & organize the cheerleader's part in the following school events that the varsity cheerleaders participate in
- Hire a choreographer to create a competitive cheer routine for the Texas Charter School Athletic & Academic League Cheer Competition
- Organize the following Fall fundraisers
Winter / Basketball Season Duties (December - January) :
- Attend all home basketball games(date and times varies throughout the week)
- Lead two to three weekly two-hour practices
- Select and inform parents of competition location, hotel the team will be staying at, and more
- Organize Cheer competition routine show-off (week of cheer competition)
- Attend TCSAAL State Cheer competition (Last weekend in January or February, location varies)
All Year Duties :
- Continuous communication with the athletic director & Griffins Athletic Booster Club
- Set up and manage the Game Changer App and Game Changer event calendar (contains weekly practices, games, events, etc.)
- Create & monitor monthly team socials sign-up genius
- Open and continuous parent communication
- Monitor and manage cheer budget & expenses
- Organize Cheer parties / social events with varsity team moms
- Organize & manage additional cheer fundraisers other than those stated above.
