Business Data Analyst

NewSouth Technologies, Inc. is seeking a PART-TIME (20 HOURS PER WEEK) Complex Care Business / Data Analyst to assist in the implementation of a Familiar Faces software solution for our client.

This position is based in the Raleigh, NC region but can be FULLY REMOTE .

Familiar Faces are individuals with frequent interactions with crisis services such as hospital emergency departments, homeless systems, jails, behavioral health crisis services and emergency medical services.

The purpose of this project is to develop a Familiar Faces software solution that integrates data from healthcare, criminal justice, and housing data sources for each Familiar Faces individual to equip service providers (hospitals / emergency rooms, EMS, mental health, law enforcement, HHS organizations, non-governmental organizations, etc.

to provide more wholistic care to the Familiar Faces population of Wake County, NC.

This Consultant will be responsible for mapping data from data source systems into the Familiar Faces software solution and helping determine Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) business rules for integrating data from source systems into person-based entities in the Familiar Faces software solution.

The Consultant will be responsible for documenting and evolving To-Be patient care workflows and data flows for how collaborating agencies will work together to provide more wholistic care for the Familiar Faces population.

To-be workflows and data flows will include patient intake, patient risk assessment, and patient stratification.

The Consultant will be responsible for working with the Familiar Faces software vendor to ensure the Familiar Faces solution meets documented contractual requirements.

The system design requires a significant interaction with the collaborative partners to further define, illustrate, and evolve the functional requirements in an Agile development environment.

SALARY

$60HR-$65HR depending on the ideal candidate's background and experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Understanding of complex care associated with serving the needs of familiar faces population
• Information Systems Requirements Analysis
• Data analysis
• Data warehousing, including entity resolution when pulling data for the same person from multiple data sources
• Data reporting and data analytics
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent meeting facilitation skills

DESIRED SKILLS

• Understanding of electronic medical records and healthcare data, including EPIC data structures
• Understanding of criminal justice data
• Understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Business Data Analyst
• Experience with healthcare case management
• Creating requirements documents to document business, system and technical requirements
• Experience working on Agile projects and evolving software solution designs and business rules based on feedback during the Agile process
• Documenting data flows
• Documenting ETL business rules
• Software implementation

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION

Business Analyst certification preferred but not required

WORK LOCATION

• FULLY REMOTE East Coast hours, with occasional in-person meetings, prefer physical location in the Raleigh, NC or surrounding region
